Thank you to David Diles (not pictured), Athletic Director at LSSU for the opportunity to fundraise for St. Mary’s Catholic School by parking cars at the hockey games this past weekend! Thank you to our volunteers who braved the frigid weather: (pictured): Steve and Andrew Heiny, Em Weber, Heather and Doug Mitchell, and (not pictured) Bob Livingston and Keri Stevens, Sam and Chelsea Hoffrichter, Sam Marzean, Isaac Thompson and Fr. Romeo! It was a huge success! Go Lakers!!
INVITATION TO JOIN: BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE
We are (re)starting up a Buildings and Grounds committee here at the parish! If this is in your wheelhouse and you’re able to make it please come to the Parish Hall on Thursday March 17th at 6pm- If you are willing to help, but that time doesn’t work for you- let us know if you’d like to plug in by emailing fathermikechenier@gmail.com and our Maintenance Supervisor Sam at dcfnhoff@gmail.com. These are the areas where we could really use your help and expertise: 1. looking at bids from different contractors, 2. finding the right people/tradesmen to do certain jobs, 3. prioritizing our projects. 4. Also, helping us keep an eye on the buildings- a fresh set of eyes could help us see needed repairs or improvements we are missing. 5. If you’re more into taking on a small project instead of the list above, let Sam or Fr. Mike know and we’ll plug you in! Bids to look at or obtain: -bid for replacing the roof of the Faith Formation Building -bid for replacing the roof of the Parish Hall (and reconstructing the roof so the insulation is up top and we can remove the suspended ceiling) -bid for replacing external doors and surrounding windows throughout the parish and parish hall and offices -bid for replacing the roof over the main body of the Church -Newman Center- before August, we’re needing to add a kitchenette and replace (or restore) the flooring in the apartment so that it’s ready to house a director. |

The study will consist of a 30 minute video, scripture reading and class discussion. The study journal costs $24.95 and can be purchased through ascensionpress.com/collections/wisdom. Please give this prayerful consideration and join us in a Lenten journey that will lift up your souls.
